Hello friends, oh my how the year has passed so quickly, here we are at the end of June. What a wonderful period of time for me and of course my darling family :)
My new album A YEAR OF FIRSTS #ayearoffirsts# has been taken to the hearts and ears of so many, I am thrilled and humbled indeed and glad you are enjoying it.
January  - is a busy work time for me, I didn't get to Tamworth but will hope and pray for 2017. I did receive Finalist Berth in the TSA (Tamworth Songwriters) for "With Love For My Lord" and "Grandma Doing Bootcamp", what a thrill as I am relatively new to the songwriting - but I am so influenced by great writers here in Australia so I am very grateful to them all.
February, -  I made it to Bungendore NSW for the Country Music Bush Ballad Awards, where I was partner with Keith Jamieson as Finalist in the Collaboration with our recording of "Further Out". Whilst we didn't win, we surely had a marvellous time and was great to see so many friends and music lovers.
March - , I had a great show in Mackay at the Senior CItizens Centre, and also enjoyed singing with John Kilcullen, and there debuted my new song "Dad's Younger Days" thank you to all who attended and travelled through blinding rain that day. I had the pleasure and honour of singing for friends for their 50th Wedding Anniversary, just the day after I had my 50th Birthday!! Where did that come from?? :)
By 21st March I was on the plane to Broome WA to support my youngest daughter at birth and after for our first grandchild - a beautiful daughter Annabelle Kaitlyn born 31st March. It was on the plane heading there anxiously that I wrote "That'll Be Me" for my daughter and typically now for everyone. (See the words in the pictures section on this website) Then off to Moola Bulla Property near Halls Creek WA for Grandma duties for the next 5 weeks. Real WA outback - omgoodness I was in my element - oh yes I helped with baby but every chance I was out the door to experience life on a huge station at muster time. Choppers were in action just beside the homestead, road trains and stockmen and women and angry big cattle and dust!! I loved every moment and also got the chance to live a dream and be station cook for a couple of days. Far removed from my darling husband but loving every moment - if you haven't gone to WA Kimberley region - do yourself a favour eh :) It was my experience at this property and the beauty of the Kimberley's that produced a new song called "A Thousand Different Pictures" - no matter what I had heard, read and sung- it still took my breath away with the beauty that I saw.
While I was in Broome waiting for bub arrival I had a great time catching up with good friends Ginger & Marie Cox and had the pleasure of singing and watching some of Ginger's family sing some great country music. Wow.
May - Home to Mackay early May in time to be at the Mackay Country & Western Club Members Dinner - where Rodney Vincent was our guest artist and had a great time singing with Rodney - a consummate professional indeed, and a wonderful opportunity to give back to our club members who raise so many funds for charity each year.
The day after was a wonderful opportunity to sing with Norma O'Hara Murphy during her show in Mackay. The next weekend I was in Bouldercome at the Bouldy Bush Ballad Bash with Jammo & Alisha and other artists - what a great festival of fun and family - always love that.
The last weekend of May - I headed to Barham NSW - on the Murray River Vic Border for the Barham Balladeers Festival - and they can dance madly there - it's another great festival that I totally recommend to you all. I did the trip - flew to Melbourne and saw our other 2 daughters then drove up to Barham - what beautiful county too, a little cold haha but so beautiful. I miss the sheep - it was lambing time, a memory from my childhood. Was a real thrill to make new friends in another state - a lot of travellers from Vic and what a great sense of humour hahaha as we all enjoyed my skit with "The Job's Not Finished"
The wonder of flight travel - home and back at work the day after :) Lucky to have a great job :)
June - long weekend time - found me at Maryborough QLD for the Stampede - another great fun festival and a thrill also to bring a surprise package of daughter and baby home for a week to meet Poppy :) Had some lovely time as "Grammy" but before the end of the week had to honour plans and flew to Gold Coast QLd to KrossKut Studios to record my new single "That'll Be Me" - to go on to the KrossKut Studios 100th Album - compilation of Kross Kut artists and will be loaded onto iTunes. A great little uplifting song that I hope will make a positive difference in the darkest of days for anyone. I hope for this to be out by end July. But in the words…. you're not alone.

Coming Up : See details on my Show Page on this website :)
July - first weekend, am to be judging for the Sarina Country Music Talent Quest - good luck to all contestants.
Second Weekend in July - off to St George QLD for the wonderful Yellowbelly Country Music Festival - just love going here and it's again beautiful country - with a particularly lovely little winery in the area :) A great lineup of artists.
Last weekend July - flying to Brisbane as I am appearing at the Grandchester Country Heritage afternoon (24th )

My friends I wish you all well and look forward to seeing you all again soon xoxoxo Sharon
